I almost missed this wonderful blog over at Post-Darwinist on our heterdoxical friends.

Tune in for a boost!

Eric, thanks for the link.

Just like synchretism was a faith destroyer for ancient Israel, so Theistic Evolution (which is a modern form of synchretism) is a faith destroyer in the Church today. The late Charles Templeton was a notable casualty.

Theistic Evolution is so prevalent in the Sydney Anglican Diocese and because it is so degenerate a blight that any hope of success for the Connect 09 Mission was dashed before it started. What the Diocese can expect is degeneration rather than generation. Sad to see the Church in defeat but it is my strong conviction that there will be decided consequences for synchretism.

At least we here at the Sydney Anglican Heretics site have gone into cyberprint beforehand to predict the outcome of Connect 09. Many within the Diocese, in paricular those we have encountered on this site, are silent in speaking about their nervous apprehension that the Lord is not answering their prayers on Connect 09. They only need to look at ancient Israel having gone down the path before them.

Only upon the dawn of year 2010 will excuses, the wrong excuses, start to come from the lips or hand of the present silent ones of the Diocese.

Triumph for the Diocese will only come with a clean-out of defiling unbelief in the very Word of God.

Neil,
Thanks.
The SADists I've heard discuss the matter have been somewhat disdainful of their take on 'origins' being such that it will undo their Christian proclamation. But our banner by Aquinas hits the spot here: what you think about creation will guide what you think about God (because God did creation...or did he? how could we know if all the details he reveals are 'wrong'?). Of course, what you think about God will influence what you think about man, sin and salvation. It's all connected. But if Connect09 just puts people in touch with the god who has death within him (the direct implication of TE), then what point is salvation?

Indeed! If it was not sin but God who brought death into the world then why was it necessary for God to send a remedy for His actions? Are TE'ers saying that our Lord Jesus Christ had to die because of an unrighteous act of God in the first place? (Rom. 8:19-24)

Folks if you can buy, beg or borrow a copy of the DVD 'Expelled' please do so. It is a long one but gripping, showing the agressive attitude taken towards any US scientist who even hints at Intelligent design. Talk about witch trials!

We watched it at a recent Bible study and all there were stunned.

Interestingly towards the end the interviewer ( actor Ben Stein) interviews Richard Dawkins who goes off into the most unintelligible waffle about galaxies far far away and life being transported to this planet etc. Truly amazing nonsense.

It was available from Creation Ministries International but is out of stock, I believe.

See it!
